Funny things happen all the time. Normal events don’t catch the eye but Dave’s special radar instinctively draws him to the small out-of-the-ordinary events and conversations that wash over most of us and pass us by. Once identified, he applies his unique style of exaggerating and elaborating them whilst reminding us that we too have not only witnessed them, it’s probably happened to us! It’s this added dimension, this comedy of association that elevates the event to laugh-out-loud funny. No wonder Time Out magazine said of him, Not only a very funny comedian but one of the finest raconteurs around.”

A £1.00 restoration levy applies to all tickets. All online orders are subject to a £2.50 per transaction fee.

After experimenting with a Zoom gig where he got muted by 639 people and a Drive-in gig where Omid witnessed an audience member get out his car, attach a hose pipe to his exhaust and feed it through the window; multi award-winning comedian and actor Omid Djalili is now where he belongs, on a stage and bringing back the Good Times.

Intelligent, always provocative, entertaining, Omid’s legendary stand-up performances is a captivating comedy masterclass. His credits range from Hollywood films to television and the West End stage. Earning praise across the world for his performances, Omid is seen hosting his own ITV quiz show The Winning Combination. My Dear Old Things is an absolute treat for the cricket connoisseur and a wonderfully engaging evening for all.

In cricketing terms, Covid’s reign stopped play for a couple of seasons. In another year, dear old Blowers would have knocked off a century of theatre shows, appeared on numerous TV programmes and regaled folk with his hilarious anecdotes at functions up and down our green and pleasant land.

However, you can’t keep a good man down. Being confined to the pavilion has given Henry Blofeld the opportunity to spend more time with loved ones; to reconnect with his Norfolk roots and to reflect on his truly extraordinary life. He has written two books, recorded a daily vodcast for the recent tests and made three autobiographical films for streaming, under the collective title At Home With Henry.

And work on these films has inspired a new theatre show, My Dear Old Things, which Henry is touring from this October. In this, Blowers shares tales of treasured moments and people, past and present, while looking ever forward to more fun and games as he resumes his highly entertaining innings. Ladies and Gentlemen, the covers are well and truly off!

We’re delighted that award-winning singer Clare Teal is returning to Rosehill, accompanied by pianist Jason Rebello!

As much as she loves fronting her trio or big mini band, or singing with orchestras around the world, Clare – singer and former BBC Radio 2 presenter and a recent addition to the Jazz FM family – still revels in performing in more intimate venues accompanied by just piano.

From swing to sublime ballads, Clare’s duo concerts are renowned for their fabulous musicality coupled with her warm and witty storytelling, guaranteeing the audience something uniquely personal and always very special.

The rich, jazz-infused repertoire explores timeless classics penned by the legendary musical storytellers of the last 100 years, and celebrates giants of the Great American and British Songbooks through to the work of more contemporary writers crafting the standards of today plus Clare’s own original compositions.

Jason is a celebrated performer in his own right. Classically trained but inspired by Herbie Hancock, he was the first jazz musician to secure entry as a classical student at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was labelled a veteran by critics at 19 and over the next decade won most of the major jazz music awards.

His critically acclaimed solo albums mix jazz, latin, soul and hip hop, and he has worked with the likes of Tim Garland, Sting, Jeff Beck, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Pee Wee Ellis, Joss Stone, Madeline Peyroux, and more.

He helped to set up the Jazz Factory at the Wiltshire Music Centre, and lectures at various schools and music colleges, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Bath Spa University. Beyond jazz he has performed with the Nice Symphony Orchestra and the Hallé Orchestra.
