Join Carlisle Cathedral on the first Saturday every month for the Carlisle Farmers’ Market. In the historic grounds of the Cathedral, you’ll find everything from homemade goodies to artisan crafts, charity stalls, and gifts for all occasions. All the stallholders are local producers and makers, so you know you’re getting top quality produce and lovingly handmade gifts whilst supporting the local economy and community. Regular attendees include Hallsford Farm for beautiful beef, lamb, and pork direct from their farm at nearby Hethersgill; Haverigg Smokery for fish and smoked cheeses; fresh veg; handmade breads and cakes; delicious treats and homemade preserves; local cheesemakers, scented candles, unique arts and crafts, plus all sorts of other goodies! New traders join them each month, so be sure to check out the market next time to see what’s new, or to pick up an old favourite.
