Steam to the Hills with a LDNP Ranger

Take the ‘Ratty’ steam train to Eskdale Green and walk back to the sea over Muncaster Fell with a National Park Ranger. Meet at 10.15am to catch the 10.25am train to The Green.
Regular train fare applies and the walk charge of £5 adults (children free) can be paid on arrival.
Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment as there is a maximum number of 20 places on the walk.
The grade of the walk is Moderate. Suitable footwear is essential as short sections of the path are steep and the route may be rough or muddy in places. Other walking equipment including waterproofs and other clothing appropriate to the weather on the day, sufficient water and a packed lunch are also required. Dogs on leads are allowed on the walk.
