SeaFest – West Cumbria’s Festival of the Sea
SeaFest is an action-packed family-friendly festival celebrating sustainable seafood and marine wildlife. Featuring tasters and cooking demonstrations from top local chefs, beach yoga and meditation, arts & crafts activities, rockpool rambles, guided birdwatching and dolphin surveys, a wildflower and pollinator BioBlitz, our famous annual sand sculpture competition, and much more…

- Teas & coffees at the RNLI station (all day)
- Storytelling performances from Tale Trails & The L’aal Collective (all day)
- Musical performances and community play-along from Folk in the Fells (all day)
- Marine street art workshop from Beardy Syngery (10:30-12:30)
- Litter mosaics workshop from St Bees litter champions (13:30-15:30)
- Dolphin survey from Seawatch foundation (13:30-15:30)
- Beach yoga and mindfulness sessions (all day)
- Sustainable seafood cooking demonstrations & tasters (13:30-15:30)
- Swim safety workshops and wild swimming tasters (TBC)
- Pollinator BioBliotz at Adam’s Rec (13:30-15:30)
Prizes: Our famous Beachd Art competition will be running all morning, with judging at 12:30 to coincide with the low tide. As always, local businesses have been incredibly generous, and this year’s prizes include:

- Day tickets for Derwentwater & Coniston cruises
- Family tickets to The Beacon Museum and The Rum Story exhibition
Booking: most activities will run on a drop-in basis, with the exception of the sand sculpture competition, which you need to book in advance
The guided seabird walk, which will run 10:30-12:30 and will be booked on a first-come-first-serve basis at the registration tent.
