2017 Cumbria Life Choir of the Year finalists the Herdwyck Consort present their concert ‘Dainty Fine Byrd’ in Muncaster Castle’s Drawing Room.
A homage to all things Byrd and bird-related, also included in the programme are pieces by Stanford, Holst and Gibbons, spanning musical history from 16th to 20th centuries.
The concert begins at 5pm with the Castle door open to concert-goers from 4.15pm for complimentary tea or coffee and cake in the magnificent Great Hall. Tickets are very limited and cost £20 for adults or £10 for under-16s, (50% discount to Friends of Muncaster), including entry to Muncaster Castle, Gardens and Hawk & Owl Centre for the whole day from 10.30am, including two bird of prey displays at 11.30am and 2pm and the wild heron feed at 4pm.
