See his uplifting music and style immortalised by West End star Ben Evans in this celebration of all things George.
Having toured across the UK and Europe in “The Best of Wham”, Ben has earned rave reviews up and down the country and beyond for his portrayal of his hero and just like George in 1986 the time has come to go solo and become the world’s number 1 pop star. Ben started honing his skill and impersonation of George at the age of 12 whilst studying at the renowned Sylvia Young Theatre school after winning the coveted “The Stage Newspaper” scholarship by singing Careless Whisper for the panel.
West End lead roles were to follow, playing Gavroche in Les “Miserables” and then going on to take to the stage in the title role in “Oliver” at the London Palladium before returning the next year to play the Artful Dodger, the only performer EVER to have achieved this double feat.
TV and Film roles came next but the West End stage again beckoned and after performing George’s famous rendition of “Somebody to love” for Bjorn Ulvaeus, Ben landed a lead role in the ABBA musical “Mamma Mia.”
Ben’s Big break was to come next playing the incomparable Frankie Valli in the hit show “Jersey Boys” followed by a stint as the cheeky lead singer of The Monkees, Davey Jones in “Monkey Business The Monkees Musical”. Having played all of these incredible leading men there was only one more dream to achieve, to perform as one of Britain’s greatest singer songwriters and a true Icon of popular music, George Michael.
Relive those Iconic moments of George’s incredible career from his flawless live vocals to those MTV defining music videos and early Top of the Pops appearances which gave us our first glimpses of the legend himself. This is a George Michael show like no other, put on your guy liner, choose life and come down to your local theatre to relive the hit career of the one and only George Michael.
